We are lucky enough to be doing a home swap in Australia this Christmas and spent the last couple of days in Sydney Botanic Garden. It's in a wonderful…
Lagunaria genus. This genus consists of one species, which has dense foliage and will grow well in coastal areas because of the grey-green foliage which seems to be immune to salt spray, and will flower in the summer to autumn. It will prefer fertile well drained soil. You can propagate by seed in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
