Description

Lagunaria genus. This genus consists of one species, which has dense foliage and will grow well in coastal areas because of the grey-green foliage which seems to be immune to salt spray, and will flower in the summer to autumn. It will prefer fertile well drained soil. You can propagate by seed in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.

Grown for its flowers in summer-autumn and its overall appearance. Suitable for coastal conditions.

Cultivation

It need to be grown in full sun, with well-drained soil with adequate water. You can propagate from seeds. Pruning is tolerated if required.

Seed in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.

Under glass scale insects, red spider mite may be troublesome.
