Laurus genus (Laurel). This genus consists of evergreen trees which are grown for their foliage. They are frost hardy, but the foliage may be scorched by extreme cold weather or cold, strong winds.
Grown for their foliage. Suitable for coastal conditions.
You should grow them in a frost-hardy climate and plant in fertile, well-drained soil with full sun or semi-shade, and in a sheltered position. They may be grown in tubs as standards, which should be trimmed during summer.
Semi-ripe cuttings in summer or by seed in autumn.
