Abeliophyllum genus (White forsythia). This genus consists of one species of deciduous shrub, which is usually grown for its winter flowers. The leaves are ovate, dark green and arranged in opposite pairs on the stem.
Winter flowers, climbing.
It is fully hardy but in cold areas you will need to grow against a south or west facing wall. Grow Abeliophyllum in fertile well-drained soil with full sun. You will need to thin out the excess older shoots after flowering each year to encourage vigorous, young growth.
Root softwood/greenwood or semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
