Description

Ampelopsis brevipedunculata (Blueberry climber). This species is a woody, perennial climbing vine with palmately lobed, toothed leaves which are arranged in pairs along the reddish stems. These leaves vary in size and shape and the new tendrils are hairy and add textural interest. The flowers are small and green-white, held in umbels opposite the leaves. Bright green, blue, purple, pink or yellow fruits, with brown flecks appear in the late summer.

Also known as Vitis heterophylla and Ampelopsis heterophylla.
