Description

Lotus genus (Trefoil). This genus consists of about 150 species from temperate regions. They are either annuals or short-lived perennials and deciduous, semi-evergreen and evergreen sub-shrubs. They are grown for their foliage and pea-like flowers which come in a range of colours.

Cultivation

They are fully hardy to frost tender, with a minimum temperature of 5C. They will prefer full sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil.

You can propagate by softwood cuttings from early to mid-summer or by seed in autumn or spring.
