Luffa genus (Loofah). This has a dried skeleton of conducting tissues it is used as a sponge and as a shock absorber in helmets; its most popular use is as an exfoliant. The seeds may be pressed for oil.
Indoors for personal use.
These are frost-tender plant, they prefer rich, sandy soil with full sun. You can propagate from seed sown in spring.
