Description

Acacia paradoxa (Hedge wattle). A shrub growing to about 5m. The leaves (phyllodes) are about 2cm long and oblong to lanceolate in shape and dark green. Masses of yellow inflorescences are produced.

Cultivation

Frost hardy to frost tender, min 5-7C. They require full sun and well-drained soil. Under glass, use a loam-based potting compost with full light. Outside, moderate fertile soil and full sun.

Propagation

Propagate by seed in the spring. Soak them in warm water until swollen first. Root semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
