Cultivation
They will require a long, warm growing season. You will need to plant in fertile, well-drained soil. Cordon varieties will need staking. Harvesting may start in mid-summer and end in early autumn, depending on whether they are grown outside, or in protected environments.

Sow seeds from as early as mid-winter in a heated propagator, to early spring, under glass.
