Description

Lysimachia nemorum (Yellow pimpernel). This plant is often found in the wild in Northern Europe. STEM: Slender, low-growing. ROOT: Fibrous. HAIRS: Absent STIPULES: Absent LEAF-STALK: Shorter than blade. BRACTS: Absent FLOWER STALK: Much longer than flower, hair-like. SEPALS: 5, very slender, pointed. PETALS: 5, equal, bases joined, wide-spreading. STAMENS: 5 STIGMA: 1, slender, style long. OVARY: 1, 1-celled. SEEDS: Many, circular, flattened.
