Macadamia genus. There are about 11 species, they are made up of small to medium evergreen rainforest trees. Their leathery narrow leaves are usually in whorls of 3 or 4 on the twigs, they have smooth or toothed edges. They will bear small flowers which are crowded on cylindrical spikes. They are frost tender, with a min temp of 10-13C. They will prefer full light, though a little shade is tolerated. Grow in humus-rich, moisture-retentive, well drained soil. You can propagate by seeds when ripe, in the autumn or in spring.
