Description

Mammillaria camptotricha (Pincushion cactus). This is a freely clustering cactus, with spherical, deep green stems. It produces scented white flowers, each with a green median line, from summer to autumn.

Cultivation

They are frost tender, with a minimum temperature of 5-10C. They require full sun for maximum flowering. They are easy to grow, and prefer light, sandy soil. Keep plants completely dry in the winter, otherwise they rot easily.

Propagation

You can propagate by seed in the spring and summer, or from offsets in summer.
