Description

Morus genus (Mulberry). There are about 10 species of deciduous shrubs and trees, They bear broad, roughly heart-shaped leaves they have closely toothed margins and inconspicuous greenish male and female flowers, separately on a short catkin.

Grown for their foliage and edible fruits. Can be grown in gardens.

Cultivation

They are fully hardy and will grow in a wide range of conditions, but do best in fertile well-drained soil with a sunny, sheltered position.

You can propagate by softwood cuttings in the summer or by seed in the autumn.
