Anisodontea genus. A genus of 21 evergreen shrubs and perennials. The flowers are small and are similar to a hibiscus, with hairy calyx and a corolla of five petals which are streaked. Stamens are usually darker in colour. The leaves are also small and are usually palmately 3-5 lobed.

Frost tender, min 3-5C to half hardy. Needs full light and well drained soil. Water containerized plants freely when in full growth, very little at other times. In the growing season, young plants may need tip pruning to promote a bushy habit.
Propagate by seed in spring or by greenwood or semi-ripe cuttings in the late summer.
