Nepenthes genus (Pitcher plant). These are evergreen, insectivorous mostly epiphytic perennials. they are about 70 species. the bear purple or brownish flowers which are borne in spikes.

They are frost tender, minimum 18C, and require a humid atmosphere with partial shade and moist, fertile soil with added peat and moss.
You can propagate from seeds in the spring or from stem cuttings in spring or summer.
Mealy bugs and grey leaves can be troublesome.
