Description

Olearia genus (Daisy bush). These are evergreen shrubs and trees, There are about 130 species, they produce daisy-like heads which are either white, blue, lavender or pink they appear from spring to the autumn.

Interest and use

Grown for their foliage and daisy-like flower heads which appear late summer. Suitable for coastal conditions.

Cultivation

They are frost to half hardy and will need full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. A lot of species are tolerant of salt, wind and atmospheric pollution. Cut out dead wood in spring.

Propagation

You can propagate by seed or semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
