Osteospermum genus (African daisy). The genus consists of about 70 species of evergreen shrubs, perennials and annuals. They have irregularly toothed leaves and will produce a profusion of large, daisy-like flower-heads, which bloom in white, pink, violet and purple.

They are marginally to moderately frost hardy, and will grow well in an open, well-drained soil of medium fertility. A sunny open position is essential.
You can propagate from cuttings of non-flowering shoots in mid-summer.
