Paphiopedilum delophyllum (Orchid). The genus consists of evergreen epiphytic compact plants that consist of fleshy roots with short stems and a few large often mottled leaves.

Needs

Cultivation

They grow in partial-shade with moisture and well-drained soil. In temperate climates, they need to be grown in greenhouses. Can be grown in pots but also on slabs of bark. Weak foliar feeds can be added to the sprays.

Propagation

Can be propagated from older leafless pseudobulbs which can be removed for replanting, or from new growth which may appear from the bottom of the plant.

Prone to red spider mite, aphids and mealy bugs.
