Description

Parthenocissus genus (Virginia creeper). This genus consists of 10 species of deciduous, woody-stemmed, tendril climbers. The leaves will produce beautiful autumn colour, The flowers are greenish and will bloom in the summer.

Interest and use

Grown for their leaves, which often turn beautiful colours in autumn, and for the fruit.

Cultivation

Grow in humus-rich, well-drained soil in semi-shade with protection from hot winds. They are fully to half frost hardy.

Propagation

You can propagate by softwood or greenwood cuttings in the summer or by hardwood cuttings in early spring.
