Pavonia genus. This genus consists of evergreen mainly summer-flowering perennials and shrubs, there are about 150 species of perennials, subshrubs and shrubs. They produce strong upright cane-like stems with simple oval, occasionally lobed. The flowers will bloom singly in the leaf axis, and produce star-shaped flower.

Give them moist, well-drained soil and a warm, frost-free climate. Grow them in sun or partial-shade. Leggy stems may be cut back hard in spring.
