Paxistima genus. There are about 2 species of dwarf evergreen shrubs, they produce narrow, 4-sided stems with a corky bark covered in small protuberances. The leaves are simple and oval to linear they are leathery and have finely serrated edges. The flowers are tiny and produced singly in the leaf axis in the spring and summer.
Grown for their foliage. Is suitable for ground cover.
They will grow easily in any well-drained soil in sun or partial-shade and prefer summer moisture. You can propagate from seeds, cuttings or self-rooted layers.
Division in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
