Pellionia genus. This genus consists of about 50 species of occasionally succulent evergreen perennials and subshrubs. They are climbing or creeping plants with elliptical to rounded leaves. The leaves are strikingly coloured, being very dark on top with purple cream blooms they will appear in the summer.
They can be grown as house plants, and do well in hanging pots. You will need an evenly moist soil with a shaded but bright position. Requires a humid atmosphere, away from draughts.
You can propagate from tip cuttings, rooting stems or stem cuttings in spring or summer.
