Description

Penstemon barbatus (Beardtongue). These are semi-evergreen, clump-forming plants with racemes of tubular, bright rose-red blossoms, they are large and will last 2 to 3 weeks. Grow in rich, acidic soil that is well drained. You can propagate the seeds in the spring or autumn or by cuttings in midsummer to autumn.
