Phacelia genus (Scorpion weed). There are about 150 species of annuals, biennials and perennials. The leaves are often toothed or lobed sometimes to the point of being pinnate. They will produce clusters of small 5-petalled flowers. The flowers will bloom in blue or purple shades, often with white centres.

They are easily grown in any light moist well-drained soil with full sun. They are fully to frost hardy. Tall species may need support.
Propagate the annuals and biennials from seed sown outdoors in spring or early autumn. Propagate the perennials from either seed or cuttings.
