Description

Phytolacca americana (Poke berry). This an ornamental perennial it is grown for its showy berries and rich foliage. The leaves are deep green and become flushed with purple in the autumn. The flowers will appear in the summer and they are followed by ornamental but poisonous berries. The berries are a deep blue-black, round and shiny.
