Description

Pimenta dioica. This is an evergreen tree. The leaves are glossy deep green, oblong to elliptical and about 15cm long, with prominent veins on the undersides. The foliage has a clove-like scent when crushed. The flowers are borne in the spring and summer, their produced in panicles of tiny white-green flowers. They are followed by dark brown fruit.
