Pityrogramma genus (Gold fern). This genus has about 14 species of evergreen ferns, they produce short creeping rhizomes. The fronds produce finely cut pinnate leaflets, they are usually deep green on the upper surface and silvery white or yellow underneath.
N.W. America, Africa, C & S. America
Suitable for hanging baskets.
They are frost tender, min 10C and will need semi-shade and humus-rich, moist but well drained soil in light shade. Remove fading fronds regularly.
You can propagate from the spores or by breaking off rooted pieces of rhizome.
