Description

Platanus × acerifolia (London plane tree). This is a large, beautiful tree with broad maple-like leaves, which are bright green. The fruits are ball-shaped and borne in clusters. They will take some drought, but will do better with summer deep watering. The distinctive bark is either mid brown or grey-green where it has exfoliated. By shedding its bark, the tree copes well with pollution.
