Description

Ardisia crenata (Coral ardisia). This is an evergreen open shrub that will bear fragrant, star-shaped white flowers, which are followed by long-lasting bright red berries.

Cultivation

It will need partial shade and humus-rich well drained soil. You should water freely when in full growth and moderately at other times. Remember to cut back the old plants in the early spring if they need a bit of shaping. A light prune will promote bushiness.

Propagation

Propagation is by seeds in the spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer.
