Description

Polyscias genus. They will produce about 100 species of slow-growing evergreen shrubs and trees and are grown for their attractive aromatic foliage. The leaves are pinnate with 2 or more pairs of leaflets. The flowers are produced in small panicles.

Grown for their foliage.

Cultivation

They are frost tender, min 15-18C. Grow in a warm-temperate to tropical climates with plenty of water. They prefer well-drained, humus-rich soil and partial-shade. Straggly stems may be cut out in spring.

Propagation

You can propagate from seeds in the spring or cuttings in summer.

Pests, diseases or disorders

Prone to red spider mite, mealy bugs, root knot eelworms under glass.
