Potamogeton genus (Pondweed). There are about 80 to 100 species of aquatic perennials. The foliage will vary in size and shape depending on the species. The leaves are larger than those of the floating species. They usually have narrow, elliptical leaves that are light olive green. The flowers are in spikes of tiny white or cream flowers and may be submerged or held above the surface.
Is suitable for cold-water pools and aquariums (aquatic).
They grow in full sun in any pond or slow-moving stream. You can propagate from cuttings in late spring or early summer. Remove fading foliage and thin colonies of plants as necessary.
