Argemone genus (Crested poppy). These are robust perennials, most of which are best treated as annuals. They are usually upright growers and can reach 1.2m tall with leaves that are lobed. The flowers are yellow-orange in colour.

They are fully to half hardy. Grow them in sun and very well drained soil. Do not provide supports as that may damage the rather fleshy stems. You should dead-head the plants, this will prolong the flowering.
Propagation is by seeds that are sown outdoors in late spring.
