Description

Primula veris (Cowslip). This species will produce pale yellow flowers indropping umbels which have a delicate scent. The young leaves can be eaten in salads. Grow in rich soil that is kept moist, either in full sun or partial shade. These plants are a delightful wildflower on roadside verges and farm grassland.

Border cultivars may be prone to slug damage in damp situations and to attack by root aphids when grown in very dry conditions or in pots.
