Description

Acer capillipes (Red snake-bark maple). This is a fast growing, spreading tree with ornamental bark which becomes striped white and green as it matures. Lobed, bright red leaves emerge in the spring, turning bright green in the summer and bright red and orange in the autumn. Racemes of yellow flowers appear in Spring followed by sprays of winged fruits in the autumn.
