Pteris genus (Table fern). There are about 280 species of deciduous, semi-evergreen and evergreen ferns.

Cultivation

They are frost tender, min 5C, and they tolerate sun or shade and will grow in moist, peaty soil. They will need a lot of water during their early growth period and should be kept out of direct sunlight. They are often grown indoors and are best propagated from spores or by division. Remove faded fronds regularly.

Propagation

You can propagate by division in the spring or by spores in summer.
