Pyrostegia genus. This genus consists of about 3 or 4 species of climbers. They are vigorous twiners with paired, mid-green leaves about 8cm. The flowers are orange-red and produced in trumpets which are about 6cm long.

Grown for their showy flowers.
They are frost tender, min 13-15C and should be grown in moist, well-drained soil with full sun. Provide support. Thin out congested stems after flowering.
Propagate by seed, semi-ripe cuttings or layering in summer.
Scale insects and red spider mites under glass.
