Description

Aronia genus (Chokeberry). These are deciduous shrubs from North America. They are ideal garden plant because of their compact size, they will produce and abundance of glossy red-black berries. The leaves are oval and have finely toothed margins. The flowers are produced in umbels of small blooms. They are fully hardy and will need sun or semi-shade and fertile well drained soil. Propagation is by softwood or semi-ripe cuttings in the summer or by seed in the autumn or by division from early autumn to spring.
