Description

Acer davidii var. grosseri (Maple). Also known as Acer grosseri. This is a deciduous, spreading tree with an upright habit. Its bark is grey-green with white stripes. The branches are grey-green. The ovate-cordate leaves grow up to 7cm long and hang closely together, often overlapping. The leaves are three-lobed, double serrated and veined and in autumn, the colours become gradated on each leaf, from burgundy, red, yellow and pale green at the edges. The bark on the trunk is grey-green and has diamond-shaped markings. Leaf petioles are green.
