Description

Asclepias genus (Milkweed). These are tuberous perennials or sub-shrubs, some of which are evergreen or deciduous. They have narrow elliptical to lance-shaped leaves. The flowers are borne in cluster they are rather small. They are fully hardy to frost min 5-10C, and will prefer a sunny position and humus-rich well drained soil. Propagation is by division, tip cuttings or seed in the spring. The frost tender species will need sun and a moist atmosphere.
