Description

Acer grandidentatum (Wasatch Maple). Also known as Acer saccharum subsp. grandidentatum. A smaller maple which grows up to 10m with glossy, mid green leaves turning a deep red, orange or yellow in autumn. The leaves have three to five toothed lobes and the shape of the lobes are said to resemble teeth, giving this tree its common name 'Bigtooth' Maple. The flowers are green-yellow and hang on long stalks in clusters and the bark is smooth and grey.
