Asphodelus genus (King's spear). This genus consists of spring or summer flowering annuals and perennials. They will produce narrow grass-like leaves. The flowers are borne on upright stems and they are white, green or pink star-shaped. They are frost to half hardy and will require sun. Most will prefer fertile, well drained soil. Propagation is by division in the spring or by seed in the autumn.
