Description

Ruellia genus. There are about 150 species of evergreen perennials, shrubs and subshrubs. The flowers are funnel-shaped red, pink or blue, and appear in densely packed terminal panicles and axilliary clusters. They will produce smooth-edged, oblong to lance-shaped leaves.

Cultivation

They are frost tender, min 15C and should be grown in a humid atmosphere, with partial shade, in moist, humus-rich, but well drained soil.

Propagation
