Sanguisorba genus (Burnet). There are about 18 species of rhizomatous perennials or small shrubs which have coarsely, ferny leaves. The flowerheads are small bottlebrushes.

They are fully hardy. They will prefer full sun or partial-shade with moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil that should not be allowed to dry out in summer.
You can propagate by division in the spring or by seed in the autumn.
Slugs may damage young leaves.
