Sarcococca genus (Christmas box). This genus consists of about 14 species of wiry-stemmed, evergreen shrubs. They have glossy, deep green, elliptical leaves. They will also produce small, white to pink flowers which are sweetly scented, after the berries are produced. They are fully to half hardy and will grow in sun or shade in fertile, not too dry soil. You can propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer or by seed in autumn.
