Sauromatum genus. This genus consists of about 2 species of tuberous perennials. The leaves are solitary and rise from a tightly folded shiny bud after the flowering. The flowers are spathe-like.
They are frost-tender plants which prefer partial-shade and humus-rich, fertile, well-drained soil. You can propagate by removing offsets in winter when the plants are dormant. Dry off or lift when dormant in winter.
