Scabiosa genus (Scabious). This genus consists of about 80 species of annuals, biennials and perennials. They produce tall-stemmed, honey-scented flowers. The flowering colours will range from white, cream, yellow, red, pink, blue-mauve and deep purple.

Has flower heads that are good for cutting. Suitable for coastal conditions, beneficial insects.
They will grow well in full sun in well-drained, fertile, alkaline soil.
You can propagate the annuals from seeds in the spring, and perennials from cuttings in the summer, or by division in early spring.
