Cultivation

They will range from frost tender to fully frost hardy. They prefer to grow in fertile, porous soil, but can grow in most soil types. They will need full sun.

Propagation

You can propagate the perennials, the sub-shrubs and shrubs by softwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots or by division from spring to mid-summer. Or you can grow from seed sown in autumn or spring.

Slugs and snails outdoors, under glass aphids, scale insects, mealy bugs and vine weevil.
