Senecio genus (Ragwort). This genus is a large one which has about 1,000 species from all over the world. They range from annuals, biennials and perennials to evergreen tree-like shrubs and climbers, and some of the species are succulent. The flowers are daisy-like, usually yellow but sometimes red, orange, blue or purple, and are arranged in small to large clusters.

Grown for their foliage and usually daisy like flower heads. Shrubs are excellent for coastal gardens. Suitable for coastal conditions.
They should be grown in fertile well-drained soil. They are frost-tender to fully frost-hardy plants.
You can propagate the shrubs and climbers by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer, and the annuals by seed in spring and the perennials by division in spring.
