Description

Senecio ‘Drysdale’ (Ragwort). This genus is a large one which has about 1,000 species from all over the world. They range from annuals, biennials and perennials to evergreen tree-like shrubs and climbers, and some of the species are succulent. The flowers are daisy-like, usually yellow but sometimes red, orange, blue or purple, and are arranged in small to large clusters.

Cultivation

They should be grown in fertile well-drained soil. They are frost-tender to fully frost-hardy plants.

Propagation

You can propagate the shrubs and climbers by semi-ripe cuttings in the summer, and the annuals by seed in spring and the perennials by division in spring.
