Smilax genus (Cat brier). This genus consists of about 200 species of deciduous or evergreen, woody stemmed or herbaceous, scrambling climbers. The leaves are small, fragrant and elliptical. The flowers are small and white in racemes, followed by small red, bluish-black berries.
