I have some friends getting married who are moving into a new house with a fairly empty garden. They like plants and I'd like to get them something special.
They are fully hardy and they will thrive in most garden conditions and they will prefer a warm summer. Grow them in moist, well-drained soil and sheltered from hot sun, especially in warm summer areas.
Propagation is by division between late autumn and early spring, other species and cultivars are propagated by softwood cuttings in the summer.
